Account and Security

Your account is the key to your academy — your courses, your learners, and your earnings all sit behind it. Keeping it secure protects not just you but every learner who trusts your academy. This guide covers managing your profile, your password, two-factor authentication, and your active sessions.

Your profile

Open Settings → Account to manage your personal details:

  • Name — how you appear to teammates and in internal records.
  • Email — the address you sign in with and where account notifications are sent. Keep it current and one you check often.
  • Profile details — any additional contact or display information your academy uses.

Your account profile is separate from your academy’s public branding. Changing your name here doesn’t alter your white-labeled storefront — that’s managed in your academy’s branding settings.

Changing your password

To update your password, go to Settings → Account → Security and choose Change password. You’ll confirm your current password, then set a new one. Good practice:

  • Use a long, unique passphrase you don’t reuse anywhere else.
  • Store it in a password manager rather than your memory or a note.
  • Change it immediately if you suspect it’s been exposed.

If you’ve forgotten your password, use the Forgot password link on the sign-in page to receive a secure reset email.

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication adds a second step to sign-in, so a stolen password alone can’t get into your account. We strongly recommend enabling it, especially since your account controls payouts and learner data.

  1. Go to Settings → Account → Security.
  2. Choose Enable two-factor authentication.
  3. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator, 1Password, or Authy).
  4. Enter the generated code to confirm, and save your backup codes somewhere safe.

Backup codes let you sign in if you lose your device — store them offline, not in the same place as your password.

Active sessions

Your active sessions show where your account is currently signed in. Review them in Settings → Account → Security to:

  • Spot any device or location you don’t recognize.
  • Sign out of a session remotely — useful if you lost a laptop or used a shared computer.
  • Sign out everywhere at once if you suspect your account is compromised.

If you ever see an unfamiliar session, sign it out, change your password, and confirm 2FA is enabled.

Security best practices

  • Turn on 2FA — it’s the single biggest improvement you can make.
  • Use a password manager and never reuse passwords.
  • Review sessions periodically, especially after traveling or using public computers.
  • Keep your email secure, since it’s the recovery path for your account.
  • Limit teammate access to what each person needs — see Team members and roles.

A secure account keeps your academy, your revenue, and your learners’ trust protected. Take a few minutes now to enable 2FA and review your sessions — it’s the cheapest insurance you’ll ever buy.
