Klimb can keep you in the loop about what’s happening in your academy through email notifications — a new sale, a fresh enrollment, an important account event. You decide which ones reach your inbox so you stay informed without getting overwhelmed. This guide covers how to manage your notification preferences.
Where to manage notifications
Go to Settings → Notifications to see every notification type Klimb offers and toggle each on or off. Your choices apply to your own account, so each teammate manages their own preferences independently. That means your support manager can get learner alerts while you focus on sales notifications.
Sales and revenue notifications
Stay on top of the money side of your academy:
- New sale — an email each time a learner buys a course through Stripe Connect, with the course and amount.
- Refund processed — confirmation whenever a refund is issued.
- Payout summaries — periodic recaps of what’s heading to your bank (the authoritative record always lives in your Stripe Dashboard and revenue reports).
If you sell frequently, you may prefer to switch off per-sale emails and rely on summaries to keep your inbox calm.
Enrollment and learner notifications
Know when people join and engage:
- New enrollment — when a learner gains access to a course, whether by purchase, free sign-up, invite, or comp.
- Bulk import completed — confirmation when an import or invite batch finishes processing. See Inviting and importing learners.
- Milestones — optional nudges about engagement activity, depending on what your academy enables.
Account and security notifications
Some notifications protect your account and are worth keeping on:
- Sign-in from a new device — alerts you to access you didn’t expect.
- Password or security changes — confirms changes you (or someone) made.
- Team changes — when a teammate is invited, has their role changed, or is removed. See Team members and roles.
For your own safety, we recommend leaving security notifications enabled even if you mute everything else.
Tuning notifications to your workflow
A little setup keeps notifications useful instead of noisy:
- High-volume academy? Turn off per-sale and per-enrollment emails; lean on summaries and your dashboard.
- Just launched? Turn everything on so you feel the momentum and catch issues early.
- Have a support teammate? Let them own learner notifications while you keep sales and security alerts.
When emails don’t arrive
If you’re not getting expected notifications:
- Confirm the notification is toggled on in Settings → Notifications.
- Check your spam or promotions folder and mark Klimb as a safe sender.
- Verify the email on your account is correct and current — see Account and security.
Keep your dashboard handy
Notifications are a convenience, not the whole picture. For the complete, always-current view of sales, enrollments, and engagement, your analytics dashboard is the source of truth. Use notifications to stay aware in the moment, and the dashboard to make decisions.
Set your preferences once to match how you like to work, and revisit them as your academy grows from your first sale to a steady stream.
